There is a lot of information (and misinformation) about food and nutrition available today.  It can feel overwhelming to search online, social media, and listen to the range of opinions about what to eat and how to reach health goals.  This can lead to taking risks on restrictive diets, expensive supplements, disconnecting with cultural roots, and even worsen our health and our relationship with food and our bodies.

As a Registered Dietitian my approach to nutrition counselling is to support you in your own personal health goals.  I do this by meeting you where you’re at and empowering you with information and skills to make the choices best suited to your needs and your goals.

My training includes undergraduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and Nutrition and Dietetics from Acadia University, and a graduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University. My practice is informed by Health At Every Size (HAES) and I am currently working towards certifications in Dialectical Behavioural Theory (DBT) to further support the emotional, behavioural, and mental health components of eating.

My career continues to include many practice areas such as primary care, gender affirming care, specialty clinics for chronic illnesses like kidney diseases and diabetes, and nutrition in community gardens.

If you are looking for support with your relationship with food; or have questions about what you’ve heard lately about foods, diets, or supplements; or have a new diagnosis that could benefit from a dietitian on your team; or want to know more about nutrition for health promotion, please reach out and let’s get started!

My fees:

  • Initial Assessment & Nutrition Counselling:

    • $165 per 60 minute session

  • Follow-up Nutritional Counselling:

    • $90 per 30 minute session
